Pungin built the house himself and while he was building it he only had one thing on his mind.

We wanted to keep all the designs as natural and with nature as possible.
The house went through many design changes before we got what we were happy with.

Image: Tree City Design Lay Out One
One thing about the design for Tree City was all the perspectives had to cheat the size of the model. Everything had to become smaller as it moved into the back ground, on the model the last size huts were half inch pics of the seven inch size model huts, some huts in the foreground were three foot in size , it all added to the effect and gave an impressive false perspective and scale feel to the tree city model.
